Deep and expressive, this Franschhoek Shiraz opens with rich aromas of dark forest berries, cracked white pepper, and a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is generous yet polished, revealing layers of juicy mulberry, subtle clove spice, and refined oak integration. A silky tannin structure and vibrant acidity bring freshness and finesse to the finish. This is a bold but elegant red—ideal for pairing with roast beef, spiced lamb, ostrich, or grilled game meats.
Our Shiraz is crafted with intention and care from hand-harvested Franschhoek grapes picked at peak ripeness. After destemming, whole berries fermented with carefully selected yeast in open-top tanks, with dried stems reintroduced for added complexity. Post-fermentation, the wine rested on skins for 60 days before malolactic fermentation in tank. It then matured for 12 months in French oak barrels—15% new, the rest seasoned—to create depth, structure, and refined spice.
