Description
Klein Constantia Clara Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is a concentrated, age-worthy expression of Constantia Sauvignon Blanc, shaped by granite-rich soils and a deliberately restrained winemaking approach. Made only from premium free-run juice and selected from the estate’s top barrels, it shows a broader, more textural side of the variety while retaining the freshness and precision expected from the region.
The nose opens with ripe dessert peach, green fig, and stone fruit, becoming more layered as the wine develops in the glass. On the palate, the texture is creamy and substantial, with crushed flint, toasted sesame seed, and a subtle saline note adding savory detail. Crisp acidity keeps the wine focused and carries the fruit through a long, precise finish. It would pair especially well with grilled fish, shellfish, roast chicken, or richer seafood dishes where its texture and mineral edge can work naturally with the food.
This is a Sauvignon Blanc built for development in bottle, with enough structure and freshness to gain greater complexity over the next several years.

In the cellar
The wine was made exclusively from premium free-run juice using a minimal-intervention approach. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts took place directly in barrel, followed by nine months of maturation in French oak, with 50% new barrels used. The final blend was selected from the top 10 barrels sourced from six individual vineyard sites, allowing the wine to combine site expression, texture, and structure while retaining its Sauvignon Blanc character.
