Description
Holden Manz Hiro Rosé 2026 is a dry, Provençal-style Franschhoek rosé made from Grenache and Cinsault, with a focus on freshness, texture, and mineral detail. Named after the owners’ daughter, Hiro, the wine combines delicate fruit with a more serious, food-friendly structure.
The nose opens with apricot and red berry fruit, followed by a subtle mineral note. On the palate, fresh apricot and raspberry are joined by sea salt and wet stone character, while seven months on the fine lees adds a creamy texture without dulling the wine’s freshness. A small barrel-fermented component brings extra depth, and the finish remains long, clean, and composed. It would pair especially well with lobster, grilled seafood, mango and avocado salads, or light summer dishes.
Made for youthful enjoyment, this is a polished rosé with enough texture and mineral definition to remain engaging at the table.

In the cellar
The Grenache and Cinsault were hand-harvested in the cool early morning at approximately 22.5° Balling. Winemaking took place under reductive conditions using dry ice and carbon dioxide to preserve freshness. The grapes were crushed at 5°C and received approximately three hours of skin contact during gentle pressing. After one day of juice settling, the wine was racked and underwent spontaneous fermentation at 14°C for around 20 days. It then matured on the fine lees for seven months with regular bâtonnage. Approximately 20% of the wine fermented in a two-year-old 500L French oak barrel before final blending and bottling.
